Knitting & Stitching Show Dublin 2013

I hadn’t intended on going this year, but after working extra hours in the days preceding the show, I ended up being able to take a half day on the Friday, so ticket was booked quickly, and I was all set!

I was glad I went, I really enjoyed the number of Irish suppliers who were there this year, it is great to see more and more of them appearing, and it’s nice to support Irish businesses. I ended up finding the fabric and design for the quilt for my own (and the husbands) room 😉 Can’t wait to get started on it!

I didn’t enjoy the art exhibition aspect as much as I did last year, but I probably needed more time really. I ended up meeting a few friends (some planned, some totally unexpectedly) which was great. I came home with lots of goodies, and I look forward to using them all 😉

Lots of little things…

A phrase we all use about all things, negative and positive… This past few weeks I’ve had lots of little things on the go. I’ve exhibited more art work, and I’ve somewhat accepted that I have some ability, and others have pieces I’ve created hanging on their walls… very odd feeling still!

I’ve made a few quilts for friends and family and their new arrivals – oh yeah, I’m an auntie now 😉

What a charming idea!

I’ve been watching out for a swap I can take part in that’s fabric/sewing related! What do I spot this evening when I get home from work???? A fabby charm swap by Fluffy Sheep Quilting! Hopefully I got my name in on time, and I can start planning what to do with the charms I get 😉
